I really need one… I’m giving myself one today!
I have been terrible at this losing weight thing. A good part of it is that I have tried to lose weight with minimal impact on work and social life, but it needs to change.
I have been eating breakfast at a cafe most days, which I like to do before or while working at the cafe. I’m cutting this right down to maximum of one working day per week. I can still work from the cafe, but I’ll eat breakfast before I go and just order coffee.
I’ve made a bulk batch of bircher muesli, which, at 6sp a bowl, should do nicely for most brekkies.
Then there’s lunch… I don’t really like eating lunch. Maybe because the time I get hungry for lunch varies each day and doesn’t always fit in my schedule, and maybe because lunch-style foods don’t excite me, and maybe because I’m lazy. I’ve been told some easy lunch ideas by a friend at Weight Watchers, and I think I’ll try having protein shakes for lunch sometimes too. The Isowhey shakes are only 2sp each, so if they taste okay I think they’ll work. I previously tried Impromy shakes and quite liked them, I’m hoping these are similar.
As for socialising… I like to drink wine or beer when out. Not in excess, but if I happen to have several social events in a week that could rack up some calories. I need to be more discerning and mindful about that. I need to change the mindset that every social event is a special occasion, or that special occasions need to be accompanied by wine and dessert. It can be special without those things, right?
